Dryopteris Golden Brilliance Fern 9cm Pot.

£6.99

Dryopteris ‘Golden Brilliance’ is a colour-changing fern that looks its most colourful in spring, when its new leaves emerge in warm red, coppery-pink and golden-bronze shades before maturing to dark green. In the UK, you can generally expect the main colour change from March to May, depending on the weather and growing conditions.

December–February: Winter, Mostly green.
It is an evergreen fern, so it usually retains much of its foliage through winter, although frost or harsh weather can damage older leaves.

March–May: Spring flush, Copper, pink and reddish-bronze. The new fronds unfurl in beautiful warm shades. This is usually the most striking period for colour.

June–August: Summer foliage, Glossy dark green.
The young leaves gradually lose their coppery colour as they mature, leaving an attractive green fern.

Supplied in a 9cm Pot.
